Hollywood is putting an edgy spin on the stiff bouffant. But the high style isn't one size fits all.

Big hair is back! "stars are combining the bumped-up volume of the 60"s and softening with the swept-back look of the 90's for a chi retrolook." says celebrity hairstylist Laura Polko, who's worked with Olivia Munn and Shay Mitchell/ "and the style can be fabulously flattering. High hair pulls the eye up to slim the face and leaves sexy shoulders fully exposed without having to fashion an intricate updo." The caveat? Back-combing tressed can backfire for some hair texture. " thick locks can put too much weight on the bump and cause it to fall flat so hair looks more bird's nest than a beehive." Polko notes. Take cues from these celebs for the do's (and don'ts)of nailing the style. Then grab a strong-hold spray to keep hair looking perfect all night long. Credit from Magazine.
